Like a good wine, Release Yourself simply gets better with age. The tradition has always been for Roger to man the main room decks here at Turnmills for 8 Hours, but this year Roger’s throwing in an extra two… making it a whooping 10 Hours – oh my god!! The countdown to this year’s first must-see musical journey of 2005 is most definitely on! Last year’s Release Yourself events at Turnmills were easily the best yet. Nominated at the House Music Awards for ‘Best Club Night’, Roger’s Release Yourself party continues to set the standard for all other club nights to follow and Roger himself scooped a well deserved ‘Best DJ’Award at the HMA.
So with Sanchez tearing the main room roof off on his epic ‘all-things-house’ 10 Hour one man crusade, the backroom will be left in the more than capable hands of two of London’s freshest parties – Funk Royale & mulletover, joining forces for what promises to be a night of electronic madness of the highest order! Funk Royale has been bringing people together in the name of funk, soul, disco, hip-hop, R&B, reggae and Latin for the past five years across Europe. mulletover meanwhile, is the underground party that has taken London by storm over the last 12 months with its famous warehouse parties. DJ’s on the night will be mulletover’s shining star Geddes and Funk Royale’s ace ressies Sneaker and Toby One, with a little help from the delightful Trailer Trash rocker, Mikki Most.
