| DJs: | After a sizzling July party ay Dusk Till Dawn with Phil Weeks, Dom Chung and resident John Barber we just can’t wait to get our groove on again! Our guest for sunny August is Luke Solomon of Classic Music Company (co-owned with Derrick Carter) and Freaks fame. Luke’s unique sound as a DJ holds him as one of the most well respected in the world, with a very impressive discography of productions to his name. He is also cofounder of the band ‘Freaks’, who are now working on their fourth album after remixing the likes of Damon Albarn, Kasabian, Riton and Telepopmusik to name a few. Luke is also a busy DJ, playing worldwide in countries such as Japan, America, Canada and the whole of Europe as well as holding down a highly successful residency at The End in London for Classic with Derrick Carter. He’s also mixed some top compilations including ‘In Motion’ for Distance Recordings aswell as ‘Thanks For Coming’ and ‘A Classic Decade’ for Classic Music Company.
We’re delighted Luke can join us for some summer madness!
Our resident John Barber will keeping the beats rolling for us in spectacular fashion as always, with his brand of ‘house music’, ranging from deep, jackin, funked up beats to techy percussive grooves. John’s been busy working on his own productions, which he’ll no doubt be testing out on the clubs impressive Funktion One sound system.
We’re also delighted to have Nick Carter and Graeme Doyle along to complete the line up in the Funktion room. These two have been a part of Deep South’s team for the last two years, welcoming guests such as Fred Everything, Nathan Coles, Evil Eddie Richards, Lawnchair Generals and The Electric Press to their underground night at The Rhythm Factory in London. Pushing great music cant be a bad thing, that’s why we’re glad they’re bringing their selection of great house music to Electric Playground this month.
Upstairs in The Bar, Dusk Till Dawn resident Garry White welcomes Ben Logue to join him for some eclectic beats behind the decks.
